Motability Adaptations & Conversions

One of the biggest benefits of leasing a car through the Motability Scheme is the possibility to adapt the car to suit your needs. This benefit is available on all of our Motability vehicles and usually comes included with the monthly fee that you pay, so you don’t have to worry about any additional fees or unexpected costs. Once you have chosen the Ford Motability car that you like to lease, we can begin discussing any adaptations or conversions that you would like.

There are a range of adaptations that can be made to your new Motability car in order to make your vehicle as accessible as possible. From making it easier to get in and out of your Motability car, to ensuring your drive is as comfortable and convenient as possible, Ford Motability cars can be modified in a number of ways to meet your individual needs while keeping you safe.

Types of Motability adaptations and conversions

There are around 500 different types of vehicle adaptations available on the Motability Scheme. These adaptations vary a lot to cover an extensive range of mobility needs, and they generally fall into one of the following three categories:

  • Driving: Adaptations that can help you drive
  • Stowage: Adaptations that can help stow your wheelchair or mobility scooter
  • Access: Adaptations that can help you get in and out of your car
