7 New Electric Ford Vehicles Are Arriving

Ford has announced the launch of seven new all-electric vehicles as part of its plan to transition to a zero emissions for all vehicle sales and carbon neutrality across its European operations by 2035. The company's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its new electric vehicle lineup, which includes everything from SUVs to commercial vans.

Ford's plan to transition to a fully electric range in Europe by 2030 is an ambitious one, but with these seven new electric vehicles, it's clear that Ford is well on its way to achieving that goal. So whether you're in the market for a high-performance SUV or a compact commercial van that can be adapted to multiple needs, it won’t be hard to find a Ford electric vehicle for you.

Here’s what to expect from the new electric Ford vehicles, all of which are due to arrive by next year.

Three new electric Ford cars

The Ford Puma was released in 2019 and remains one of the most popular Ford cars to date. It has become the brand’s best-selling passenger vehicle in all of Europe and frequently tops “best car” lists within its class.

Despite its popularity, however, Ford has yet to release an electric version of the Ford Puma - until now. An all-electric Ford Puma is one of the seven new electric Ford vehicles due to be released in the near future, which will surely only cement its position as one of the most popular cars around.

But it’s not the only electric passenger vehicle you can expect to see from Ford. Given that 58% of all Ford cars sold in Europe in 2021 were sports utilities or crossovers, it will likely be no surprise that the manufacturer also has two more electric crossover vehicles lined up for release.

One of these will be a sports crossover, but the brand has yet to reveal any more detail to date. The other will be a five-seat, medium-sized crossover that will offer a driving range of 310 miles on a single charge.

Four new electric Ford Transit vans

Ford’s new push to expand its electric vehicle range doesn’t leave its popular Transit range out. Far from it, more than half of the new electric Ford vehicles will be electric Transit models.

The first two new electric vans to be launched will be an all-new Ford Transit Custom one-tonne van and a new Tourneo Custom multi-purpose vehicle. These will be followed by another electric range during a second release that includes the next generation model of the popular Transit Courier van. The full line-up of new electric Ford vans will be completed with an electric Tourneo Courier multi-purpose vehicle.

An electric future for Ford

With seven new electric vehicles on the horizon, it is clear that Ford is taking its commitment to electrification seriously. Given the brand’s leading role as the top-selling commercial vehicle manufacturer in Europe, this commitment reinforces Ford’s position and is sure to have a positive impact on the wider automotive industry as a whole.
