The New Ford Next-Generation Ranger is Coming

Added: 19 May 2022

Ford’s Next-Gen Ranger goes on sale in late 2022, with deliveries set to take place in early 2023. The upgraded model of the brand’s popular pickup truck will be the smartest, most capable, and most versatile Ford Ranger so far.

A Bold New Look

Based on extensive customer input, the next-generation Ranger has received a bold and confident new exterior look. The truck has a wider stance and a larger grille for a more muscular and athletic appearance. It also features Ford's signature ‘C-clamp’ daytime running lamps with powerful halogen or matrix LED headlight technology, adding to its tougher new personality. Sleek LED tail lamps also feature on the new tailgate.

Sleek Revamped Interior Design

Inside, the Ford pickup has a modern and inviting new cockpit design, complete with greater comfort, technology, and functionality than ever before. Premium materials, additional colour choices, and more storage space add to the truck's versatility as a company or family vehicle, while the new coast-to-coast instrument panel gives the interior a spacious and premium feel. The large digital instrument cluster displays easy-to-read graphics and animations. It comes with plenty of smart and connected features, including truck data and off-roading information

Next-Generation Technology

Sitting at the core of the truck's fully digital instrument panel is a large 10.1 or 12-inch high-res touchscreen loaded with Ford’s signature SYNC 4 infotainment system. The next-generation technology comes with voice-activated communications, cloud-connected navigation for real-time route planning, and easy smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The advanced system integrates all your entertainment and information needs into one convenient central location.

Premium Powertrain Line-Up

The new Ford Ranger will be available with various diesel engines to suit all needs. At the top of the range sits the new 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel. This engine was designed to provide a huge amount of power and torque for towing heavy loads or extreme off-roading. The powertrain line-up also includes the more fuel-efficient 2.0-litre turbodiesels in several Single- and Bi-Turbo configurations. The 2.0-litres are ideal for families or small businesses who want more power but need to maintain fuel economy.

Built to Take on Any Terrain

The next-generation Ranger now has up to six available drive modes for a controlled and comfortable ride on any terrain. This feature was previously only offered on the premium Ranger Raptor. The combination of the selectable drive modes, two different four-wheel drive systems, and a new wider stance, also gives the Ranger enhanced off-roading capabilities.

Larger and More Functional Cargo Bed

Whether you’re towing equipment to a worksite or a campsite, a spacious and functional cargo bed is vital in a pickup truck. And the new Ford Ranger comes with plenty of new features to make loading and transporting cargo as stress-free as possible.

To start with, the upgraded truck is 50mm wider than its predecessor, so it can automatically accommodate more cargo. There’s also an integrated sidestep for easier loading and unloading, durable plastic caps to protect the box from damage, and extra cargo tie down points. You also get the Ranger’s new cargo management system, with a range of organisation and storage solutions to hold various sized items.

The functional cargo bed has plenty of useful features for when you’re on the job, too. These include an onboard inverter offering a power supply to the box, a multipurpose tailgate work surface, and clamp pockets for clean cuts and precision work.
