The Ford Transit comes equipped with a range of advanced 2.0 litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines. Available with a choice of four powertrains, this refined new engine delivers up to 185 PS of horsepower without compromising on efficiency. Designed to make your fuel go further - and keep your emissions lower - the EcoBlue engine has a selective catalytic reduction system that uses AdBlue fluid and a particulate filter to convert NOx emissions into nitrogen and water and remove more than 99% of solid particulates from the van’s exhaust. For an even more efficient drive, the Ford Transit is also available as a mild hybrid van. The Ford EcoBlue Hybrid engine uses a small battery-powered electric motor to reduce fuel consumption when a low amount of power is needed, and can help your business reduce fuel costs even more.

Design & Comfort

Its striking good looks - complete with a modern new front end - will grab your eye, but it is the Transit’s impressive clever cargo space and generous payload that will secure the bestselling van’s place as an integral part of your business. The Ford Transit offers generous load space so you can fit more in. With up to 15.1 cubic metres of cargo space and easy access via a sliding load door, full-height rear doors and built-in rear bumper, the new Ford Transit makes transporting large and lengthy items as simple as can be.

Safety & Security

A large load space is only as useful as the security systems it has to protect your cargo. With the Ford Transit, you never need to worry about keeping your cargo safe on the road thanks to the cleverly positioned tie-down points. Even if you’re carrying lots of cargo, the Roll Stability Control system on the Transit will ensure your van’s tyres stay grounded throughout your journey. An Electronic Stability Control system is also aided by a Load Adaptive Control feature, which can optimise your Ford Transit for control and stability based on the load weight. When you’re away from your Transit van, a Thatcham Category 1 alarm system can detect and alert you to any forced entry, lifting or movement inside. The Ford Transit also comes with remote control central door locking with anti-tamper shielding to prevent doors from being broken by force.

Driving Experience

The convenience offered by the Ford Transit doesn’t end once you’ve loaded up. Designed to be your office on the go, the new Transit comes with a clean and intuitive dash, as well as enough easy access compartments to store everything you need to take with you on the road. The in-built FordPass Connect technology helps you stay connected throughout the day, with live traffic updates so you can avoid the queues and stay on schedule.

Transit Trail and Active

Unique styling on the Transit Trail includes black-finish exterior cladding and matte black alloys, plus a chunky front grille with bold Ford lettering. A Mechanical Limited Slip Differential or All-Wheel Drive give additional off-road capability. 

The Transit Active marries hardworking versatility with additional terrain tackling capability, and a more assertive design. Unique Active Edition front grilles, black-finish side cladding, unique 17" alloys, and silver-effect roof rails provide rugged outdoor styling, while an optional Mechanical Limited-Slip Differential delivers additional capability over more challenging terrain.

Extra strength with 5-Tonne

Our commercial vehicles are built to move all kinds of cargo, and our latest Transit variant is designed to be adaptable and hard-working. It's been enhanced to meet the most demanding of conditions such as uprated brakes and tougher axles. That means it's not just an even stronger version of the standard Transit, but also the ideal basis for a bespoke conversion to support specialist customers such as the emergency services or construction and transport industries.

The new 5T GVM (payload of up to 2457kg in the van*) is offered in two body styles, two cab sizes, three wheelbases and four overall lengths. Customers can work with converters from Ford's network of over 160 Qualified Vehicle Modifiers in 13 countries to design and build anything from simple shelving inside their van to a complete luxury bus conversion.
